This remote switch with built-in web server remotely controls servers, computers, or other devices connected to this unit. Plug-in servers, computers, network equipment, or any other devices into the 8 Channels / 16-Outlets available and easily be able to remotely restart/reboot those connected equipment. An additional 2-Outlets are on the unit for Always-On needs for a total of 18 Outlets on this remote reboot unit. When plugging in servers (or any other equipment or devices) into the unit's provided outlets, if the unit resides in a datacenter in Los Angeles, CA and you are currently away from the office in Dallas, TX, all that is needed for a restart / power cycle / turn on-off is to login to this unit's admin web interface with the static/dedicated IP Address you assign to this unit. You can access it from anywhere around the world just by using a web browser. • Eight switched channels are provided, each with a pair (2) of 110/220VAC outlets. Each pair (2) of outlets can be controlled independently. Outlets 1 & 2 are using Channel 1, Outlets 3 & 4 are using Channel 2, and so on. For example, if you have two power related devices (such as a computer and monitor) connected to outlets 1 & 2, you can easily turn on/off these devices by logging into the web interface and turn on/off Channel 1. Channel 1 controls Outlets 1 & 2, Channel 2 controls Outlets 3 & 4, and so on. There are 8 Channel with 16 Outlets. The outlets are spaced properly for large adapters and plugs. Two unswitched outlets are provided for connection to "Always-On" devices. There is a total of 18 outlets on this Remote Reboot unit (8 switched channels controlling 16 outlets and 2 "always-on" outlets).
  
• Front panel controls on the front of the unit are provided to manually override software settings. Each circuit can be switched on or off manually, or to "REM" for remote software control. Two LEDs display status for each relay.
  
• Two attached input power cords are provided with this unit. Power Cord A powers Circuit A (4 Channels) with 15Amps input and Power Cord B powers Circuit B (4 Channels) with 15Amps input for a total maximum input of 30 Amps. The use of a separate UPS unit is needed for power redundancy. Power Cord A provides power to only Circuit A, while Power Cord B provides power to only Circuit B.
  
• MOV surge suppression with Dual 3600J metal oxide varistors clamp power surges and spikes, protecting all attached devices. 3500 Joules.
  
• Monitor Voltage and Amps remotely using the web interface. Circuit A power usage total displayed and Circuit B power usage total displayed only (NOT per port)
  
• Firmware is field upgradeable via Ethernet from the manufacturer website.
