Hardware Requirements: Windows Operating System (Windows Vista, XP, 2000, and 2003 only), Sound Card (or integrated Sound Card on your motherboard): Most modern sound cards will work, however some rare sound cards do not allow simultaneous playback and recording. To use the instant replay feature while recording, you will need a sound card with this capability.

Which OS is the Phone Recorder's included software compatible with?
Because of the new software version update released, the software with this phone recorder no longer supports Windows 95 and Windows 98. This software now only supports Vista, XP, 2003, & 2000. If you would like to experience what the included software is like before purchasing the Phone Recorder, you can download/install the software by contacting us.
Is the provided recording software a full version and is it included free?
Yes, this is the full version of the software and is included with this product for free. It is the most recent full version of the software. If you would like to experience what the software is like, please contact us.
How does this phone recorder connect to my computer?
It connects to your MIC (microphone) input jack (usually pink color). Your computer may have one front and two rear MIC inputs. If you are not seeing sound coming through, you need to try plugging in the phone recorder into all of your pink MIC input jacks to see which input jack is the correct "active" one for your computer. (For example if your computer has a sound card then it will most likely be the rear-bottom MIC input. If your computer doesn't have a sound card and is using the motherboard's integrated sound then it will most likely be the rear-top MIC input. But please try all of the MIC inputs just to make sure you find the one you are needing to use.) From my experience, this product is better because it utilizes the sound using the MIC input directly into your sound card / motherboard, rather than using just a usb interface.
There are three different methods of recording with the provided software
1). VOX Recording which detects if there is noise above a certain sound-level, and then starts recording.
2). Continuous Recording -- records all the time, until you tell it to stop.
3). Record only when you want to by clicking on Record button to record.
Does this phone recorder work with my ______ brand phone system?
The software will work on any phone that has a two-wire analog signal to listen to. It will not work if connected to a digital phone, unless it is connected to the analog handset. Most handsets are analog. For VOIP phone systems, your phone system would need to be analog. This does not work with a digital system. However if your digital system has an analog handset, then you can connect this phone recorder to the analog handset and this will work. Please understand we are not responsible if your phone system does not work with this phone recorder. There is no way for us to know if your particular phone system works with this phone recorder.
Does this Phone Recorder answer the phone calls automatically for me?
No, this phone recorder does NOT answer the phone calls. You would need to answer the phone call. This phone recorder is a passive recorder and is not intended to pickup the phone.

If in the rare occasion that a product is defective within 30-days from purchase, please contact us immediately to return the defective unit to us (please be sure that all items that came in the box are returned).
